Having represented different sports, and academic fields, while coming from diverse backgrounds LSA’s ambassadors act as guides during the pre and post-recruitment period. Their achievements, and experiences during their collegiate careers are an inspiration to look up to.
Olga Zampati started her NCAA volleyball career at the University of Oklahoma in 2018. She then transferred to Quinnipiac University, graduating in 2021 with a bachelor’s in marketing.
Before her student-athlete career, Olga represented Greece’s national team in international tournaments and earned accolades as a U17 Championship MVP with Olympiakos SFP.
Konstantinos Louvaris graduated from SUNY University at Albany in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and a minor in Finance. He began his collegiate career at Coastal Carolina, where he spent two years helping the team advance to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2017 before transferring.
Prior to his studies in the United States, he competed at the academy and men’s levels for Omonia Nicosia and represented Cyprus’ youth national teams (U17, U19).
Currently, he continues his soccer career playing in Cyprus’ second division. At the same time, he utilizes his university degree and works as an economics teacher at Foley’s School (Limassol).
Demetris Skoumbakis completed his undergraduate studies at Long Island University in 2022, earning a dual degree in Mathematics and Economics. While at LIU, Demetrios excelled on and off the field, serving as the captain of the men’s soccer team and being named the Northeast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2021. That same year, he was honored as the NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for his exceptional academic achievements, culminating in his selection as Valedictorian for the Class of 2022.
In 2023, he utilized his final year of NCAA eligibility to complete a Master’s in Finance at Fordham University while competing with the men’s soccer team.
Currently, Demetris is a commercial real estate broker at Cushman & Wakefield in New York City. In addition to his professional career, he serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University, where he discusses market news, government policies, and earnings trends while mentoring students on academic projects.
