Ludius Student-Athletes announce that Marcos Lipertis has committed to transfer to California State University – Los Angeles from Long Island University’s men’s soccer team. After becoming champion with the LIU Sharks, having won the NEC tournament in the Fall 2024, the Cypriot forward has decided to continue his journey on the West Coast, with the Cal State LA Golden Eagles.

The Cal State LA Golden Eagles men’s soccer team is distinguished not only by its 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship, a historic first for the program, but also by its exceptional consistency within the CCAA conference. Since 2018, the Golden Eagles have won at least one conference championship each season, capturing three regular-season titles and four conference tournament championships.
By transferring to Cal State LA, Marcos will join a program built on excellence, consistency, and a championship-winning identity, poised to contribute his drive to the Golden Eagles’ rich tradition.
